MARTIN RICE
Martin joined Torquay in the summer of 2007 having made the move from local rivals Exeter City following 4 seasons at St James Park. Making his Grecians debut in goal at the age of 17, Martin made a total of 9 first team appearances before reaching his 18th birthday, and went on to establish himself as Exeter's first choice goalkeeper although he was cruelly dropped for the Conference play-off final at Wembley having played in both legs of the semi-final against Oxford. Martin finally got to play at Wembley last season when United reached the F.A. Trophy final where he saved a penalty. Martin is respected as a great shot stopper and is regarded by his fellow squad members as an excellent trainer who makes the most of his ability.
